Video Issues?
This can depend on a lot of variables which mostly rely on the network speed between you and our server.
Videos can download and buffer slow depending on your internet connection and speed. Congestion on that same network can also be a factor and could result in network latency between you and our site / server outside of our network.
Try running speed test to see if you are having any issues: CLICK HERE
Aside from the speed test another test you can run is a traceroute to our site, this will check for network connections. Feel free to Email Us your result so that our technical department can evaluate and determine any findings.
Here is how you can do a trace route from your PC (Windows XP, Vista):
1. From the Start menu, select “Run…”
2. When the run box comes up, then type in cmd
3. When you get the command prompt, enter tracert jobracketbreakout.net
4. Hit the “enter” key on your keyboard and wait.
For the Apple people in the crowd, you can follow these steps:
1. Double-click the Hard Drive icon > Applications folder > Utilities folder > Network Utility program.
2. Select the trace route tab and enter the domain name
3. Press the “enter” key and wait.
Or you can use a free program called PingPlotter.
Which ever way you decide to traceroute Email Us a screen shot of the results so that our technical department can check the network connection between you and our server. This will help them see if there are issues along the path to the Panel from your location.
In your email also provide us with your IP address from here: http://www.hostgator.com/ip.shtml
Any connection over the Internet actually depends on two routes: the route from your system to the server, and the route from that server back to your system. These routes may be (and often are) completely different (asymmetric). If they differ, a problem in your connection could be a problem with either the route to the server, or with the route back from the server. A problem reflected in a traceroute output may actually not lie with the obvious system in your trace; it may rather be with some other system on the reverse route back from the system that looks, from the trace, to be the cause of the problem.
So a traceroute from you to our server is only showing you half of the picture. The other half is the return route or reverse route.
More than likely the speed that you are getting from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) through your network is fluctuating.
